Our Little Peanut is 3 Weeks Old Now!

Daddy used to call Little Bryce his Little Peanut coz he was so so tiny when in Mummy's tummy. But today he is no longer a little peanut. He has grown now from 3.31kg at birth to 4.4kg today. Not bad huh? Daddy says he is a big eater. He seems to be always hungry, crying for milk the moment he wakes up. If he doesn't get his milk within 10 sec, his cry will get louder and louder. Both his grannies are so scared of him now. He is a little tyrant. This is how he looks like when the cry began...
Other than the 2-hourly cry, he is angel. He can smile now and even attempted to talk to us. He loves bathing! Never cry a single time. Our brave little one. Poo alot too. And he hates that. Always cry when he dirty his diaper.

Well, wanna see how he grow day by day? Here's a keep of his daily photos. See if you can spot the difference.

This is day 1 when he first arrive in our world. Our very first family portrait.

Day 2, still in hospital. Already, nurse said he has been crying for milk in the nursery. This is the first time he opened his eyes. Still very puffy then.

Day 3, home sweet home for little Bryce and Mummy.
And check out all his presents received at the hospital! Even his cousin Darren sent him a nice little present.

Day 4, he refused to be "tied up" and prefers his hands to be free like this.

Day 5, still sleeps alot...

Day 6, continues to sleep.... with hands stretching out even more.

Day 7, he's beginning to open his eyes more often now.

Day 8, another new sleeping pattern...

Day 9, he has double chin now?

Day 10, he opens his eyes more often now.

Day 11, is he trying to talk?
Day 12, even bolder sleeping pose.

Day 13, one happy baby. He can smile now.
Day 14, he loves to stare at things now.

Day 15, grinning away.

Day 16, is he rounder now?

Day 17, milk time! Where's my milk?
Happier when Little Uncle carried him. Fast asleep on his lap.

Day 18, he does have a round face.

Day 19, he's trying to reach out for a camera.

Day 20, happy bathing time. Good boy. Never cry a single time. Loves water.

Day 21, playtime with Daddy!

Our HAPPY BABY! You makes Mummy wonder what you will do next...

The Birth of Bryce Yau (姚智勋)

Irene and Charles was anticipating their first son on the 6th of this October in Thomson Medical Centre. Little did they know that their little devil was born one day later then the supposed due date, and the couple got to stay in the hospital for a day, watching television(!). The opted natural delivery was a smooth one, with just a little hiccup when the baby decided to "take a little break" when the doctor said, "Good boy, just push a little harder!". Yeah, he rested for almost ten minutes right after his head came out and, the couple gotta wait for the ten-minutes-that-seems-like-forever before his shoulders came out too. So here's Little Bryce, 姚智勋 born on 7th October 2008 at 3.06am, a big baby boy weighing 3.31kg.

This blog was meant to be a photo blog opened by his folks to capture Bryce and his childhood days. But since the couple are still resting well in the hospital with cute little Bryce, his fatty uncle will do the job! So here I am blogging about my first nephew, who I am going to play soccer with him when he is three, bring him to swimming lessons on the Sundays when he is five, teach him biology when he is seven, and bring him to the club when he reaches 18 (and when i reach 42!). Heh heh.

Ahem, so on the first day, baby Bryce slept all the way. He seems to love the number 3, cause he was born at 3.06am, warded into Level 3, Room 310, and was 3.31kg. Oh yah, his weight coincidentally matched with his room number, with the number 3110! Fellow gamblers, you guys know what to bet on 4D this saturday?! Haha.

Little Bryce was sleeping.

Look at that chubby little face inherited from his daddy!

Big paws!

Daddy carrying his son for the first time.

And on the second day, which is today, Little Bryce had his first taste of milk. Usually, a baby will only cry for "food" when he/she is 3-4 days old. Little Bryce is a little hungry then his fellow babies, so he had it twice on the second day (or thrice, with the last time encountered by his big uncle). Bryce's favorite action is to push his hands out of his "artificial womb" just like he used to when he was in his mummy's tummy.

His favourite action since inside his mummy's womb.

Pushing of hands!

Dad's or mum's eyes?

May this child grow up with joy, love and happiness.
